“It’s difficult to write a short recommendation for Raution! When he worked with Wipro, one of the world’s finest IT companies, he was outstanding. His performance was always above par. He was also “Mr. JOSH”, the grand title awarded to the best all round talent in Wipro’s talent show. Always well behaved and soft spoken, Raution is where he is today because he deserves every bit of his success! I wish him the very best in life!” November 12, 2009

Ken Murphy, Associate Professor of Information Systems, Willamette University
“Raution has a rare combination of intelligence, positive attitude, organization skills and self-motivation. Last year, he was the first in his class to secure an internship. His positive attitude, willingness to help others, and his ability to be a great role model is why I selected him to be one of our Peer Career Advisors this year. In this role, he’s been instrumental in helping first year students update their resumes, figure out what they want to pursue and start their internship search. I have no doubt that Raution will do well at whatever he puts his mind to.”
Beth Ursin, PHR, GPHR, Director of MBA Career Services, Willamette University
“Raution has been is a solid performer, and ambitious student in our work together at Willamette. He performed well in my strategy course, and is currently working on a new venture relating to legal outsourcing opportunities. He has also been my TA and worked a bit on some interesting outside projects. Particular strengths: self motivated and ambitious, quick to pick up ideas, good social skills.” October 15, 2008
Robert Wiltbank, Professor of Strategic Management, Willamette University
“It gives me great satisfaction to recommend Raution Jaiswal. For several years, I have watched this young man develop both academically and personally into a mature individual ready in every way for an excellent professional career. Raution is a bright, energetic, compassionate and genuinely well rounded. His grades have always been consistently above average in all of his courses, and he has actively participated in a diverse assortment of extracurricular activities ranging from sports and quiz and drama and debate in college. Raution has also spent considerable time outside the undergraduate college, being involved in the community. This included developing an underprivileged village and volunteering for recreation and development of poor and physically handicapped children. Raution has always displayed strong leadership qualities in all walks of his life. Unlike many students who are not sure which field to pursue, Raution had a clear vision about his dream career. He was always focussed on his goals and has endeavored very hard to achieve it. My best wishes are with him forever. Regards Mukul Agarwal (Chartered Accountant) Assistant Manager Genpact”

“One of the greatest ways that you add value is that you work as a leader”. I remember very well the instance when you were a member of the HP Scanner team which was not doing well in keeping up the scores. The team was constantly performing below average. The management had almost made up there find to shut down this queue. It was at this time that you took this as a challenge and took the command in your hand. You spoke to your team members to make sure that they realized the importance of losing the job and the hardships they could face in future. You were successful. The team had started to pull up the scores and eventually was out of danger. But that was not it. You made sure that the performance of your team and as well as yours were consistent throughout. At the time of leaving the team, you were rated among the top five who had given everything to the process and its betterment.

One of the greatest ways that you add value is that you think big and never lose heart. Even when things are not going your way, you tend to persevere and eventually accomplish your goals.
Thinking about you and your traits, I am reminded of kiplings “if”, especially the following lines :
“Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;”
The composure with which you handle difficult situations and never lose your focus is one trait (amongst many other traits) that I would like to imbibe.
You have been a winner and any team needs a winner in its midst to keep spirits high. A winner helps the team by just that; being a winner.
An inspirational achiever is an asset to all his friends and obviously to any team he belongs to.
